Maslow's Hierarchy

In the triangle, I have taken care of the physiological, safety, love/belongings, and esteem. I know how to breathe and eat food. I know that I have all of those things under my control. I just don't quite think that I have self-actualization. Morality, creativity, spontaniety, problem solving, lack of prejudice, and acceptance of facts are not things that I have quite developed yet. I can do some of this but I have not fully develped the skill of all of them. I agree with Maslow's Hierarchy. It is a true triangle. Some people may not agree with it but I believe it to be very true. I think the order works very well. If I keep working on my self-actualization, I might someday beable to say that I complete the triangle.

Freebie Blog

This past weekend was a blast. Mostly because we won state for the first time since 1975! It was so awesome to see all the boys so happy. They had worked hard to achieve their goal. They put forth their time and effort to achieve their dream. They gave 110% the whole season! That is why our whole community is so proud of them. Along with winning state I had a pretty good Thanksgiving break too. Many of my college friends came home so I had a chance to hang out with all of them the whole weekend. Actual thanksgiving was good too. I got to spend quality time with the family plus the food was great! I did get a little sick over the break though. Colds are no fun.
Darcie and I rode up to Champaign together on Thanksgiving. We stayed the night in the Drury Inn hotel. It was a blast. A big group of us went to go hang out at the AGR senior house. It was a lot of fun! The whole weekend together was just a great time. Now I'm ready for Christmas break!!!

Revenge

Revenge. It can be bad and also good. If you use revenge to hurt someone in a really bad way, then I don't believe it is a good thing. If a football player wants to get revenge on a team, that is a more positive outlook. That mostly means that they want to do better and beat the team that may have beat them in previous years. They don't necessarily want to hurt them, they just want to get revenge by winning the ball game.

Elections

I was not exactly excited to hear that Obama won the presidential election today. He is a democrat. I was born and raised a very conservative republican. I don't believe in some of the things he does. I feel upset and worried. I'm worried about our country. I don't know what to expect from Obama and it kind of maked me nervous. Is he going to help our country?
I predicted that McCain would win but I wasn't sure. I tried to stay up on the polls. It always seemed that they were really close all the time. My predictions were incorrect. In my opinion the campaigns proved that McCain was a better leader than Obama. But I guess that I was wrong. If I could elact anyone to be president. I would elect my dad because then my family could live in the white house and we would get a $400,000 salary to live off of. There would be a ton of benefits that came along with that. Also I think that my dad would do a good job in office and would make good decisions that would better our country.

conflict

There was a time that I had a conflict and it was just last week. We had a substitute for our English IV class. We watched a movie called Hamlet. All of the class layed on the floor. Our sub accused us of not listening to her and sleeping on the floor. We all payed attention to the movie but she claims that she told us three different times to be quiet. She never told us anything. She would barely talk to us at all. The students that got introuble were Catherine, Shelby, Jacob, Jacob, Shelby, and I. Once the movie was over we were given a handout when Shelby and Mrs. R(the sub) got into it. Mrs. R said that she was rude and disrespectful. I'm not sure where this problem started out but it ended up being a huge mess. I was mad because I was getting introuble for something that didn't even happen. I get really upset when I'm accused of wrongdoings. In order to fix the conflict, we all had a meeting with our principal, Ms. Madson, and also our English teacher, Mr. Lintvedt. We discussed the matter and resolved the problem. I was satisfied with the outcome. For our punishment we were going to have to serve a detention but instead of that we had to write a letter to Mrs. R. She was satisfied with the punishment too. I learned that you never know what is going to happen so just keep a good head on your shoulders and make sure that you aren't doing anything wrong. Also to be extra careful around subs because they could have a different style of teaching than what you are use to.
